How to get to Scotland

By Road

• those of you in a hurry will drive up the M6 from England. It is motorway or motorway standard road all the way from London to Edinburgh if you take this route
• unless you are coming up the east coast of England anyway, there is little point in taking the A1 or A68
• between the A1 and A68, I would take the A68 as it is more scenic
