Robert Burns was born on 25th January 1759, in Alloway,
a suburb of Ayr on the Firth of Clyde.

years old. This white cottage was actually built by Burns' father

- Irvine, where Burns worked as a flax dresser from 1781 to
1784, has a Burns Museum
